Richard and Judy in final C4 show

Richard and Judy

Chat show hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are broadcasting their final terrestrial TV show.

The husband-and-wife team first began presenting together on ITV1's This Morning in 1988 before moving to Channel 4 seven years ago.

Their last edition will feature a look back over the past series.

It was announced last month the couple will present on a new multi-channel TV service called Watch, which is due to launch in October.

'Touched'

The programme will be an hour-long primetime show which will retain the book and wine clubs that proved successful on their Channel 4 programme.

Finnigan, 60, said that public opinion had convinced her and Madeley, 52, to carry on their TV career together.

She told UKTV: "When we announced our decision to leave our current television series after seven years, we were very touched by the number of people who told us how much they wanted to see us continuing making programmes together."

Their stint on This Morning made them into household names, with two hours of celebrity chit-chat, phone-ins and cooking demonstrations every weekday.
