Hilton 'failed to promote comedy'

Paris Hilton

US socialite Paris Hilton has been accused of not fulfilling promotional obligations for a 2006 comedy film in which she appeared.

Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc, the producers of National Lampoon's Pledge This!, say the heiress-turned-actress owes them $75,000 (£39,459) in damages.

Papers filed at the US District Court in Miami claim Hilton was paid $1m (£526,119) for her "acting services".

She was also expected to do "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the film.

Hilton received an executive producer credit on Pledge This!, in which she played the president of an exclusive college sorority.

Nudity

According to reports, however, the 27-year-old became disenchanted with the film after producers added scenes involving nudity.

Shooting on the movie, which also starred Carmen Electra and former Neighbours actress Holly Valance, began in 2004 in Miami.

Hilton was recently seen in UK cinemas in another comedy, The Hottie and the Nottie.

Her representatives have made no public comment about the legal action.
