Enemy frontman 'slashes finger'

The Enemy lead singer Tom Clarke said there was "blood everywhere" after slicing off the end of his finger while playing guitar at a music festival.

Clarke carried on playing at Chicago's Lollapalooza at the weekend - the Coventry band's first US appearance - before being examined by a doctor.

The band cancelled a Montreal festival appearance earlier this week but played in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Clarke told NME.com the accident was "an occupational hazard".

He said he had "managed to slash the end off my finger playing guitar".

"The doctor looked at it after the set and said I'd have to miss a couple of gigs," he said.

"I said I'd miss one but I'm not missing LA."

Clarke said he "didn't really care" adding it was "not the end of the world".

A spokesman for The Enemy said Wednesday night's concert at the Troubadour in Los Angeles had gone ahead as planned with Clarke's finger bandaged up.
