Dark Knight leads UK box office
Batman film The Dark Knight has swept to the top of the UK box office with takings of £8.6m.
The epic film, starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, eclipsed Mamma Mia! which took second place with ticket sales of £2.8m.
Teen flick Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging made its debut at number four, with US comedy Baby Mamma new at 10.
The Dark Knight has made more than $300m (£151m) in North America after 10 days, breaking a box office record.
