Rebecca voted out of Big Brother

Nursery nurse Rebecca Shiner has been evicted from Big Brother after getting the most votes from the public.

The 21-year-old was the bookmakers' odds-on favourite, and was nominated along with songwriter Darnell Swallow and toy demonstrator Mohamed Mohamed.

Rebecca is the sixth person this year to be evicted from Channel 4's show, which is due to conclude next month.

She and Mohamed had each received five nominations from fellow housemates, but Darnell was chosen by six contestants.

Darnell, who proved unpopular after acting as head of the house last week, looked shocked after the shortlist was announced.

Mohamed punched the air and cheered when he was identified as one of the nominees.

But Rebecca said: "I knew it was going to be three people and it was exactly as I predicted."
