Coldplay top chart for fifth week

Chris Martin from Coldplay

Stadium rockers Coldplay are at number one on the UK album chart for the fifth week in a row.

Their record, Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, has already been certified double platinum - meaning it has sold more than 600,000 copies.

But Duffy's Rockferry, at number two, is the year's biggest-seller so far, with almost one million albums sold.

In the singles chart, London rapper Dizzee Rascal notches up a second week at number one with Dance Wiv Me.

The single, a collaboration with dance producer Calvin Harris and R&B singer Chrome, sees off competition from Swedish dance act Basshunter, who rise one place to two with All I Ever Wanted.

Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks's duet with Chris Brown, No Air, is at number three.

Kid Rock scores the week's highest top 40 new entry, landing at number six with All Summer Long, based on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabama.

Other new entries come from Kooks, Last Shadow Puppets and Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri.

In the album rundown, US indie pop band Black Kids debut at five with Partie Traumatic. Beck is the only other new entry, at nine, with Modern Guilt.

Both Neil Diamond and funk and reggae legend Eddy Grant continue to feature, with sales riding high after successful appearances at this year's Glastonbury festival.

And Abba's greatest hits album, Gold, jumps from 43 to 12 thanks to publicity surrounding the Mamma Mia! movie.

The cast recording of the stage show that spawned the film also appears at number 35.
