Uma Thurman announces engagement

Actress Uma Thurman has announced her engagement to financier Arpad Busson.

The couple, who were guests at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday dinner on Wednesday, announced their engagement in the Times newspaper.

It will be Thurman's third wedding, she was previously married to actor Ethan Hawke, with whom she has two children, before they divorced in 2003.

Busson split from supermodel Elle Macpherson, with whom he has two sons, in 2005.

Earlier this month a man who stalked Thurman, 38, for two years was sentenced to probation in the US.

The Kill Bill star was also previously married to actor Gary Oldman.

No wedding date has been announced.
