They lost out on awards for their lead roles in Guru - the rags-to-riches story of an Indian business tycoon.

BBC Asian Network DJs Pablo Sat Bhamra and Raj Dhanda broadcast their Love Bollywood Bedroom show from the three-day event.

They said the awards were a lot more intimate than last year, when they were held in Sheffield, and some of the performances were "breathtaking".

The show opened with a performance by Thai dancers, and it was hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and comedian Boman Irani who arrived on stage on two gigantic Thai Elephants.

Other winners included Vivek Oberoi, who picked up a gong for best villian for Shootout at Lokhandwala.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone picked up awards as the best new actors for their respective parts in Saawariya and Om Shanti Om.

Om Shanti Om also took most of the technical awards.
