Jessica Alba has first daughter

Jessica Alba has given birth to a baby girl, her publicist has confirmed.

Honor Marie Warren was born at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, Brad Cafarelli told the AFP news agency.

The Fantastic Four star, 27, announced she was expecting her first child with husband Cash Warren, 29, in December.

The pair, who met on the set of the comic book movie had been dating since 2004. They married at a private ceremony three weeks ago.

Alba's father was overheard at the hospital saying "she's beautiful", while Cash was seen carrying food into the maternity ward, according to celebrity magazine US Weekly.

The actress, who recently starred in Sin City and The Eye, will next be seen in Mike Myer's comedy The Love Guru.

In an interview to promote The Eye in January, she said Warren - a director's assistant - would be "the best" father.
