Frasier star home from hospital

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is out of hospital four days after suffering a heart attack in Hawaii.

The actor's publicist Stan Rosenfield said he is resting comfortably at his second home in Kona on the main island.

The 53-year-old experienced chest pains on Saturday morning while paddle- boarding, and was treated for what Mr Rosenfield called a "mild" attack.

Grammer played psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane for 20 years on TV show Cheers and his own spin-off series, Frasier.

'Good health'

Mr Rosenfield declined to give further details of Grammer's condition or his medical treatment at the weekend.

But he did say the actor had otherwise been in "good health" and added that he was unaware if Grammer had a history of heart trouble.

The actor's heart attack comes three weeks after he learned US television network Fox was cancelling his new sitcom, Back to You, in which he starred as a womanising TV news host.

The series lasted for only one season.

Grammer's role in Frasier made him, at the time, the highest-paid US TV actor and tied the record for the longest-running role portrayed by a single actor in a prime-time show.
