Usher's new album tops UK charts

Usher

R&B star Usher has gone straight to the top spot in the UK album charts with his new record Here I Stand.

Welsh singer Duffy was at number two, followed by Neil Diamond, who also featured at number nine with his Best of compilation.

We Started Nothing by The Ting Tings slipped from number one to three and The Pigeon Detectives album, emergency, debuted at number five.

Rihanna's single Take a Bow has remained at number one in the chart.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the singles chart The Ting Tings held onto their number two slot for the second week in a row and Duffy's Warwick Avenue climbed from seven to three.

Madonna's latest single, 4 Minutes, which she recorded with Justin Timberlake, fell one place to number four with Will I Am at number five with Heartbreaker, which features Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.

Neil Diamond

Australian singer-songwriter Sam Sparro continues to stay inside the top 10 at sixth place with Black and Gold and Ne-Yo's Closer followed at number seven.

Usher's Love in the Club remains eighth this week, with September's Cry for You at number nine.

Wiley's Wearing My Rolex, which is accompanied with a dance that can be seen in clubs up and down the country, rounded off the top 10.

In the album chart Jumping All Over The World, by Scooter, dropped two places this week and landed in sixth place and was followed by Cistercian Monks' Chant - Music For Paradise.

At number eight was Pendulum's In Silico and in ninth was the second outing for Diamond in the top 10.

Little Dreamer by Beth Rowley, which debuted last week at six, has dropped to tenth place.
