Cate Blanchett gives birth to son
Actress Cate Blanchett has given birth to her third child in Sydney, her spokesman has confirmed.
The Australian star, who is married to writer Andrew Upton, welcomed Ignatius Martin Upton into the world on Sunday.
"All are well and very happy," said Tim McKeough from the Sydney Theatre Company, where Blanchett and her husband are co-artistic directors.
Blanchett, whose portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator won an Oscar, stars in the new Indiana Jones film.
The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is due in cinemas on 22 May.
The 38-year-old already has two sons with Mr Upton - Dashiell, six, and Roman, three.
