Spears' ex-manager ban extended

Britney Spears Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi has agreed to stay away from the singer for another month, his spokesman has confirmed.

A judge is expected to extend an existing restraining order on Monday.

It is thought the move could delay a hearing which may make the current temporary restraining order against Mr Lutfi permanent.

In February a Los Angeles judge ordered Mr Lutfi not go within 250 yards (228 metres) of Ms Spears.

Mr Lutfi's spokesman Michael Sands said: "There is an agreement between Sam Lutfi and the conservatorship for the next 30 days.

"Both parties are happy and will continue to work together to further resolve any issues that may have come up in the past."

Ms Spears' mother Lynne has alleged that Mr Lutfi had drugged her daughter, cut her home phone and taken control of her finances.

Her father, James Spears, has been granted temporary conservatorship over his 26-year-old daughter's life and her estate until 31 July.

Conservatorships are generally granted for people deemed to be unable to care for themselves or their affairs.

The order means Mr Lutfi must not contact Ms Spears in any way and must stay away from the homes of her parents and siblings.

In January the star was banned from seeing her two sons, although since then she has briefly had access to them.

The star's erratic behaviour - which included shaving her head in public last year - led to a spell in a psychiatric ward in February.
