Hacker jailed for stalking singer

Chester Bennington A computer expert has been jailed for two years for electronically stalking Chester Bennington, the lead singer of US rock group Linkin Park.

Devon Townsend worked at a US national security laboratory in New Mexico, where she used a computer to track the 31-year-old performer.

She admitted to obtaining family photos, accessing e-mail and voicemail, and threatening his wife Talinda.

Townsend is expected to receive mental health treatment while in prison.

She admitted to reading the singer's travel plans and heading to Arizona to meet him.

Townsend obtained correspondence between Warner Bros Records and his solicitor, including a copy of Linkin Park's recording contract, and phoned Mrs Bennington to threaten her.

Linkin Park have won two Grammys and sold more than 50 million albums.
