The Spice Girls have said they would love to perform for former South African president Nelson Mandela at his 90th birthday celebrations in June.
An all-star concert to mark his 90th birthday is scheduled to take place in London's Hyde Park on 27 June.
But the reformed girl band said they had yet to be formally asked.
"We're great friends of Mr Mandela and we would love to perform for him again," Melanie Chisholm said before a Spice Girls concert in New York.
Geri Halliwell added: "We were privileged enough to meet the man and he is just amazing.
"He's just an example of strength and humility and if we could be part of that, celebrating his life - wow."
Charity concert
The Spice Girls met Mandela during a visit to Johannesburg in November 1997, when he famously referred to them as his "heroes".
Queen stars Brian May and Roger Taylor are among those who have signed up to perform at the Hyde Park charity event.
The Spice Girls world tour, which began in Vancouver on 2 December will also end in Canada - in Toronto on 26 February.
The tour had been scheduled to continue beyond that date but was cut short due to "family and personal commitments".
"We all have children who need to go back to school," said Victoria Beckham.
"We have seen as many fans as we can, but we have never said anything other than our families are our priority."
