Ex-beauty queen gets Hijack boot

Jade Eden Former beauty queen Jade Eden has become the first contestant to be evicted from E4's Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack show.

The 21-year-old former Miss England contestant wept as she found out.

Eden, who has been a member of Mensa since the age of four, was put up for eviction after receiving five nominations from her fellow housemates.

The launch of the show last week attracted less than half the audience of last year's regular star format.

Overnight estimates of the first show on Friday showed 3.5 million viewers watched the reality programme, compared with 7.3 million who tuned in for the first night in 2007.

"I had so much fun, I really didn't want to go. It was like the most amazing period. I had a great time," said Eden.

Celebrity Hijack sees stars act as Big Brother to a house of "unknowns".

So far guest Big Brothers in the series have included actor Alan Cumming, former footballer Ian Wright, and television presenter Russell Brand.
