Eminem recovering from pneumonia
US rap star Eminem is recovering after being treated in hospital for pneumonia over Christmas.
His publicist Dennis Dennehy said the 35-year-old had been "under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia".
He added: "He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
It is not clear how the rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, contracted the lung disease. Eminem is best known for hits such as Stan and Lose Yourself.
The story of his pneumonia was first reported on the TMZ website, which claimed he also had a heart condition and had put on weight.
