Littlewood voted out of Strictly

Lilia Kopylova and Dominic Littlewood TV presenter Dominic Littlewood has become the fifth Strictly Come Dancing contestant to leave the BBC One show.

He and partner Lilia Kopylova were ranked third-last by the judges on Saturday, but finished in the bottom two when viewers' votes were added up.

The pair then lost a dance-off with fellow contestants John Barnes, the former footballer, and Nicole Cutler.

"The better man won," said Littlewood, who joked he could "have a vindaloo" now his fitness regime had ended.

Littlewood's performance was criticised by judge Craig Revel Horwood, who said the host of To Buy or Not to Buy was trying too hard.

"Your timing was out; your shoulders raised," he said.

Another judge, Bruno Tonioli, said Littlewood "went for the Spanish content but danced to a different band" as he performed the Paso Doble.

"You have to listen to the music, and watch the periscope hands - but you did make an effort," Tonioli added.

And Arlene Phillips told the star: "Sometimes you charge round the floor like a raging bull, not listening to the music."

There are now nine couples left in the show, and next week the contestants will perform either a Viennese waltz or the salsa.
