Actress Michelle Yeoh has received France's top civilian honour.
The former Bond Girl was presented with the chevalier of the Legion of Honour by France's ambassador to Malaysia, Alain du Boispean, in Kuala Lumpur.
Yeoh, 45, who was born in Malaysia, shot to international fame when she co-starred with Pierce Brosnan in the 1997 Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies.
She went on to star in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Memoirs of a Geisha.
Yeoh said: "Deep down I am a small town girl... who has been living a magical dream."
The actress, who is based in Hong Kong, is currently filming Mummy 3, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and is planning to film an environmental documentary in Malaysia next year.
Her latest film, science fiction adventure Babylon AD, is out in 2008.
Yeoh is engaged to Formula 1 Ferrari motor racing team boss Jean Todt, a previous Legion of Honour recipient.
