Fatboy run enters its fourth week

Simon Pegg, Thandie Newton and David Schwimmer British comedy Run, Fatboy, Run, with Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton, has topped the UK and Irish box office for a fourth week.

The film, which Pegg also co-wrote, has now taken more than £7.8m in the UK.

The top four films all held firm, with Atonement in second place, followed by comedies I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Superbad.

Horror film Halloween was the highest new entry at number five.

Run, Fatboy, Run is the first feature to be directed by former Friends star David Schwimmer.

In the movie Pegg plays an overweight security guard who tries to win back the girlfriend he abandoned at the altar five years ago.

The rest of the top 10 featured four more new releases.

Thriller Michael Clayton, which stars George Clooney, was at number six, with The Brave One and Mr Woodcock at seven and eight respectively.

Action stars Jet Li and Jason Statham made it to number ten with revenge drama War.

Action adventure The Bourne Ultimatum, Matt Damon's third outing as amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne, came in ninth.

It has earned £23m in seven weeks.
