Baby for White Stripes frontman

Jack White White Stripes frontman Jack White and his wife Karen Elson have announced the birth of their second child, a baby boy called Henry Lee.

In a statement, White's publicist Chloe Walsh, said: "The new child and his mother are both feeling very healthy and happy."

White, 32, married Elson, a 28-year-old model, in 2005. Their first child, Scarlett Teresa is 15-months-old.

The band's North American tour is set to resume on 13 September.

The rock act, consisting of Jack and Meg White, entered the UK album charts at number one in June with their latest release, Icky Thump.

For years it was thought the duo, who formed the group in 1997, were brother and sister.

It later emerged that the pair had once been married.

The Grammy-award-winning band, whose hits include Seven Nation Army and My Doorbell, have been nominated in the best group category in the MTV Video Music Awards.
