Woody Allen's latest film Cassandra's Dream is to make its North American debut at the Toronto Film Festival, which runs from 6 to 15 September.
The film, in which Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell play brothers, will be officially unveiled at the Venice Film Festival, which opens later this month.
But the film has already had a "secret" premiere in Spain, where Allen is now filming his follow-up project.
Musical romance Across the Universe has also been added to the Toronto line-up.
Directed by Julie Taymor, it tells a tale of love during the 1960s set to a Beatles soundtrack.
The Canadian festival, now in its 32nd year, is one of the key events in the movie calendar and is widely regarded as the North American launch-pad for Oscar contenders.
Previously announced titles include Elizabeth sequel The Golden Age and the Coen brothers' No Country For Old Men.
