Spears guard faces battery charge

Britney Spears Britney Spears' bodyguard is facing a battery charge after allegedly fighting with two photographers trying to take pictures of the singer and her sons.

Police issued Cesar Julio Camera with a misdemeanour battery summons after he allegedly punched one photographer and pushed another into a wall.

The scuffle, which was captured on security videotape, happened at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel-casino.

Police said Ms Spears and her two young sons had not been hurt in the incident.

The two men approached the singer and her entourage in the hotel hallway and a hotel security guard told them to put their photo equipment away, said Las Vegas police.

One of the men allegedly bumped Mr Camera, who was holding Ms Spears' 22-month-old son Sean Preston Federline.

Ms Spears is said to have screamed and Mr Camera pushed the man against wall.

After giving the child to Ms Spears, Mr Camera is said to have run after the two men.

The second man later showed police a lump and abrasion on his forehead.

Las Vegas police sergeant John Loretto said Ms Spears was listed as a witness along with one man and five other women.

A spokesperson for Ms Spears was not available for comment.

Both Sean Preston and Ms Spears' other son, 10-month-old Jayden James, are from the singer's marriage to Kevin Federline. The estranged couple are involved in divorce proceedings.

At the beginning of July, Ms Spears apologised for attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella earlier this year.

Pictures of the 25-year-old lashing out appeared in several newspapers shortly after photos emerged of her shaving her head in a hair salon.

She said she got "carried away" preparing for a film part but added that she did not get the role.
