Jackson hospital report dismissed

Michael Jackson Michael Jackson's spokeswoman has dismissed a report that the pop star is currently in hospital, saying he is at home recovering from a cold or flu.

Raymone Bain said Jackson, 48, and some members of his entourage fell ill after a recent trip to Europe, but that the star did not seek hospital treatment.

He was at home in Las Vegas conducting business meetings, she said.

The singer spent a period living outside the US after his acquittal on child abuse charges in 2005.

"He was a little under the weather when he returned from Europe," said Ms Bain.

"He probably had a bad cold or the flu. But he was never hospitalised."

News reports had claimed that Jackson entered hospital with pneumonia.
