Comedian Griffin wrecks Ferrari

Eddie Griffin with wrecked Ferrari US comedian Eddie Griffin has wrecked a rare Ferrari worth $1.5m (£760,000) that belonged to the producer of his new film - and escaped unscathed.

He was practising for a charity race to promote his forthcoming film Redline when he smashed into a concrete barrier just outside Los Angeles.

The film's publicist Wendy Zocks said Griffin was "completely unscratched" but a "little shaken".

Owner Daniel Sadek admitted he had "mixed feelings" about the crash.

"I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash OK but my dream car got destroyed," he said.

"I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought, there's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world."

Only 400 Ferrari Enzos have ever been produced, all between 2002 and 2004.

Griffin has appeared in a number of comedies including Undercover Brother, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and Date Movie.
