Private wedding for Extras star

Ashley Jensen Extras star Ashley Jensen, who also appears in Ugly Betty, has eloped with her boyfriend, says US magazine People.

The Scottish actress, 37, exchanged vows with her partner Terence Beesley in Big Sur, California last weekend.

Only a minister and the couple's dog Barney, who acted as the ring-bearer, were present at the wedding.

"It was about our marriage," Jensen told People magazine. "We didn't want to be worried about napkins, you know? It was about us."

Jensen met actor and writer Beesley in 1999 when they both appeared in a stage production of King Lear.

The couple recently moved to Los Angeles, where Jensen is appearing as seamstress Christina in the hit comedy series Ugly Betty.

She first came to attention in Ricky Gervais' Extras, winning two British Comedy Awards and a Bafta nomination for her role as jobbing actress Maggie.

She has also appeared in EastEnders and police drama City Central.
