Usher R&B star Usher and his fiancee Tameka Foster are expecting their first child together, they have announced.

Due later this year, the baby will be Usher's first child, and the fourth for recently-divorced stylist Foster.

"We are extremely excited at this point in our lives, planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child," the couple said.

Usher's hits include Yeah and You Make Me Wanna. He announced his engagement to Foster in April this year.

"We hope people will be happy for us and respect our privacy during this happy period in our lives," said the couple in a statement.
