Two giant eyeballs donated by rock band Pink Floyd have raised £16,500 for homeless charity Crisis.
The 6ft-high props, made to promote the Pulse DVD, were on the auction site eBay for a week and attracted 46 bids.
Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, a vice-president of Crisis, said extra help was needed in the winter months.
A spokesman for the charity said they had been thrilled by the gift and were very pleased so much money had been raised to help their work.
Tom Sessions from Crisis added: "This is the ultimate Christmas present for the lucky Pink Floyd fan and will make a huge difference to the lives of the homeless this Christmas.
"As well as helping with our Crisis Open Christmas, the money will also help in the New Year with our other year round activities."
Crisis will open seven centres in London between 23-30 December, offering homeless or vulnerably-housed people companionship, access to services, learning opportunities and a programme of entertainment.
