Singer Michael Jackson is to make a rare public appearance in the UK at the World Music Awards in London.
Jackson, 48, will receive the Diamond Award for his contribution to music. Actress Lindsay Lohan will host the ceremony on 15 November.
The award honours artists who have sold more than 100 million albums. Previous recipients include Mariah Carey.
Jackson has lived in the Middle East since being acquitted of child abuse charges in 2005.
'Music capital'
Stars from the world of film, music, and TV will attend the ceremony, now in its 18th year, with performances from Beyonce, Katie Melua and Mary J Blige.
Blige will also receive a Legend award for her outstanding contribution to R'n'B music.
"We are thrilled to be bringing the World Music Awards to London, the music capital of the world," said Melissa Corken, founder of the awards.
"The UK is the home to many of the world's greatest selling artists of all time. The presence of Michael Jackson is very exciting for us."
The awards are based on worldwide sales.
Last year saw Destiny's Child named best pop group, days ahead of their farewell concert in Vancouver.
Jackson has made only a handful of public appearances in the UK during the last few years.
In March 2001, the singer addressed the Oxford Union to launch his children's charity Heal the Kids.
And in June 2002 he paid a visit to Exeter City Football Club with illusionist David Blaine and former club chairman Uri Geller.
