Brit actor Peter Barkworth dies

Peter Barkworth as Mark Telford in Telfords Change Actor Peter Barkworth who was best known for playing Mark Telford in the 1979 television series Telford's Change has died aged 77.

He died at London's Royal Free Hospital of bronchopneumonia just 10 days after suffering a stroke.

The Kent-born actor won two Bafta awards during his 30-year career for his appearances in Professional Foul and The Country Party.

He also appeared in episodes of cult TV series The Avengers and Doctor Who.
