Scissors score first number one

The New York disco group climbed from number four, knocking Justin Timberlake's Sexyback off the top spot after only one week.

Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous climbed into the top three, but Robbie Williams could only make number four with Rudebox - a record panned by critics.

Meanwhile Snow Patrol returned to the top of the album chart with Eyes Open.

Former Fame Academy contestant Lemar rose 34 places with It's Not That Easy to number seven, but Beyonce's Deja Vu fell from number three to number eight.

The Feeling also climbed into the top 10 with Never Be Lonely, while rapper Chamillionaire's Ridin' fell four places to number 10.

But the highest new entry was as low as number 25 - going to London Bridge, the first solo effort by Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie.

I Don't Feel Like Dancin' is the Scissor Sisters' sixth top 40 hit in the UK, the country the group describe as their "spiritual home."
