Stuckists art group in major show

The Go West exhibition at Spectrum London, in the West End, will feature paintings by 10 Stuckists, including co-founder Charles Thomson.

The Stuckists have repeatedly protested in clown costumes against the Turner Prize, complaining that conceptual art dominates over traditional art.

The group, formed in 1999, support contemporary figurative painting.

"These artists are good, and are part of art history," said Spectrum London director Royden Prior.

"Get past the art politics and look at the work."

The exhibition runs from 6 October to 4 November.
