The wax figure, standing at Jason's five-foot, six-inch height, took sculptors six months to complete.
Jason, 57, born and raised in north London, rose to fame in Open All Hours, and The Darling Buds of May as well as with his portrayal of south Londoner Del Boy Trotter.
Jason next stars in World War I drama All The King's Men on BBC One on Sunday 14 November.
Cancer award for EastEnders star
EastEnders actress Barbara Windsor has been given an award for her contributions to the campaign for breast cancer awareness.
The veteran performer, who helped raise the profile of the killer disease through her role as landlady Peggy Butcher in the BBC soap, was one of a dozen people honoured at a People of the Year awards held by the organisation Radar.
"These other people here deserve these awards so much. They are the unsung heroes. I am not unsung and I am very touched," said Windsor at the London ceremony.
Former model Heather Mills, who lost her leg in an accident six years ago, was also among those chosen by the public for an award.
Ford wants a piece of the action again
Harrison Ford is returning to action roles after the romantic drama Random Hearts flopped at the box office.
Ford is ready to return to the role of Jack Ryan, the hero he previously portrayed in Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games.
Filiming should start early next year on The Sum of All Fears, which is again based on a Tom Clancy novel.
Meanwhile, the next Indiana Jones film should go into production in 2002.
Murphy to get nutty again with Janet
Eddie Murphy is shooting a sequel to The Nutty Professor with singer Janet Jackson as his co-star.
Murphy returns in the role of Professor Sherman Klump, while Jackson plays his lover, working with him to try and discover a revolutionary youth serum.
Filming for Nutty II: The Klumps is under way in Los Angeles and should be released in the UK next autumn.
The Nutty Professor was a huge hit, raking in around £165m worldwide.
Anthony lines up duet with Whitney
Latino star Marc Anthony is to perform a duet with Whitney Houston one of a number of projects he is involved in.
The pair will team up at an awards ceremony in New York on 5 December and Anthony said: "I'm looking forward to it...I think we'll be singing Greatest Love Of All and I Need To Know."
He is also working with rock legends Eric Clapton and Billy Joel and has a supporting role in Martin Scorsese's new film Bringing Out The Dead.
Former Spice in the running for MTV award
Geri Halliwell has been nominated for an MTV award but she faces stiff competition from her rivals.
Geri, at number one with Lift Me Up, is up against Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Whitney Houston and Britney Spears for Best Female at the MTV Europe Awards.
Other acts in the running for the 17 awards are Robbie Williams, Backstreet Boys, Jamiroquai and Fatboy Slim.
The ceremony is being held at Dublin's Liffeyside Point Theatre on Thursday.
Hollywood buys up King's Vietnam tale
Stephen King's new book is set to be adapted into a Hollywood film, according to reports from the US.
Film rights to Hearts In Atlantis, a story set during the Vietnam conflict, have been acquired by Castle Rock.
The company has a long-standing relationship with King, including films such as Stand By Me and Misery.
Trade magazine Variety says famous screenwriter William Golding has been signed up to work on the screenplay.
Service for Owen planned in Yorkshire
A memorial service for Last of the Summer Wine star Bill Owen is to be held on Wednesday evening.
It will take place in Holmfirth, near Huddersfield, where the popular sitcom is filmed.
Owen, who played loveable rogue Compo in the series for 27 years, died in July from cancer.
Another memorial service will be held for the actor at the BBC's Broadcasting House in London on 19 November.
Romance in store for Frasier characters
Frasier star Jane Leeves says her character Daphne may get together with Niles played by David Hyde Pierce in the next series of the US sitcom.
Niles' fruitless pursuit of Daphne has been an ongoing theme in the series, but British actress Leeves says all that could be about to change.
"This is going to be the crucial year for Niles and Daphne," she said.
"There's a strong possibility they'll be together by the end of the year."
