Rocker Rose arrested in Stockholm

Axl Rose Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has been arrested in Sweden for alleged violent conduct and damage to a hotel room.

Rose is alleged to have bitten a security guard in the leg outside the Berns Hotel, in Stockholm.

The rock star could face up to four years in prison if charged and convicted of violent conduct.

The group, whose hits include Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child O' Mine, played a concert at the city's Globe Arena on Monday.

Police said Rose was being held in a cell and would be questioned later about the incident that took place at about 0800 local time (0600 GMT) on Tuesday.

The group are believed to have attended a nightclub in the city before the incident.
