The Prince of Wales is to present a three-part history series for Five about the Victoria Cross.
The series, to be shown in November, will feature interviews with some of the 12 surviving holders of the UK's highest award for bravery in battle.
The prince is president of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association.
"We are delighted that his Royal Highness has agreed to present the series," said the channel's commissioning editor Ian Russell.
"True courage is something that many aspire to, but few achieve. This is the story of ordinary people who performed extraordinary acts of bravery," he said.
The Victoria Cross was incorporated in 1856 on the instruction of Queen Victoria.
There are 1,355 holders from the last 150 years.
