Actress Keira Knightley has donated the dress she wore at the 2006 Oscars to raise funds for Oxfam.
The claret-coloured taffeta gown will be sold to the highest bidder on internet auction site Ebay.
Bids on the dress, which is currently being displayed in a west London branch of Oxfam, will begin on 21 April and are set to conclude on 30 April.
Knightley's role in a remake of Pride and Prejudice gained her an Academy Award nomination for best actress.
'Amazing dress'
The charity is hoping to generate thousands of pounds from the sale which will go towards the East African food crisis appeal.
"This is such an amazing dress and I am really pleased to be able to donate it to Oxfam," said the 21-year-old actress.
"I have seen the TV reports on the horrendous drought in East Africa and I know how desperate things have become, so I am happy to be able to do something to help," she added.
"We hope the public will get behind this auction so that it is a great success," said Oxfam's director for East Africa, Paul Smith-Lomas.
