A host of celebrities swung into London's West End for the UK charity premiere of the latest Walt Disney blockbuster, Tarzan.

Musician Phil Collins, who features on the movie's soundtrack, and new wife Orianne were among the stars at the screening which raised money for the NSPCC's anti-child cruelty campaign, Full Stop.

Film 99 presenter Jonathan Ross and his wife Jane Goldman took their three children to the premiere, which was followed by a children's party.

Tarzan is the first animated film of the Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic tale about a boy raised in the jungle by apes.

The film features the voices of Glenn Close, Tony Goldwyn, Minnie Driver and Rosie O'Donnell and received rave reviews when it was released in the US this summer.

It also took an estimated $34.1m in ticket sales on its first weekend, making it the best opening for a Disney animated film since 1994's The Lion King.

Tarzan goes on general release in the UK on 22 October.
