A Picasso painting which went missing from the Pompidou Centre in Paris has been recovered by police.
Following a tip-off, police traced the painting - worth 2.5m euros (£1.7m) - to a house in Paris where the painting was hidden behind a wardrobe.
Cubist painting Nature Morte a la Charlotte, completed in 1924, was reported missing in May last year from a restoration workshop.
The painting was handed back to the Pompidou Centre on Friday.
The handover co-incided with the 32nd anniversary of Picasso's death, from a heart attack.
The painting was uncovered at a house in the Anthony suburb of Paris.
It had been housed in a workshop waiting to be restored ahead of it being loaned to a museum in northern France, when it was lost.
At the time police said museum staff had hunted high and low for the painting, but came to the conclusion it must have been stolen.
Pompidou officials said the painting would have been impossible to sell on because it was too well known.
