Soul legend Aretha Franklin has been released from hospital after being treated for a blood disorder.
The singer, who turns 62 on Thursday, suffered the temporary disorder following either an allergic reaction to antibiotics or a virus.
"She responded very well to her treatment and she's doing just fine," Dr Claud Young said as she left Detroit's Sinai-Grace Hospital.
Franklin said she would be "taking it real easy" on her birthday.
She was admitted to hospital after returning from a concert tour on Saturday.

Franklin's blood disorder had triggered a rash-like skin condition, her personal physician Dr Young said.
But it was not related to Franklin's hypertension, he added, which was "under control".
In a statement released by her publicist, Franklin thanked hospital staff, friends and fans for their support and exclaimed: "Hallelujah and glory to God."
Franklin is one of the world's most revered singers, best known for her signature song Respect.
