Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will headline the Glastonbury Festival this summer - despite being turned down by organiser Michael Eavis last year.
Last year, Mr Eavis said he had to turn down Sir Paul's offer to appear at the event as Radiohead had already been confirmed in the headline slot.
Sir Paul's Glastonbury appearance on 26 June will mark the end of his 2004 summer tour, which begins in May.
The star is set to perform to 700,000 fans in 12 European cities on the tour.
It will be the first time Sir Paul has been on the road since the birth of his daughter, Beatrice, last October.
'Great audiences'
His Back in the World tour ended in June 2003 with a homecoming concert in Liverpool.
"Touring really has been a lot of fun for us and the audiences have been great, so why stop now?" said the 61-year-old star.
Sir Paul will perform in Lisbon, Leipzig, Prague, St Petersburg, Horsens in Denmark and Gijon in northern Spain.
The tour will then move on to Madrid, Paris, Zurich, Gothenburg, Oslo and Helsinki before the Glastonbury finale.
"I'm looking forward to playing and to visiting some new places," Sir Paul said. The tour will feature music from The Beatles, Wings and the singer's solo career.
