Liza Minnelli is planning to follow in the footsteps of rocker Ozzy Osbourne - and make a reality TV show about her daily life.
Music channel VH1 has confirmed it is in talks to develop a weekly series about Minnelli and her new husband, producer David Gest.
Reports that a Minnelli series was in preparation first surfaced in Time magazine, which also said that said rap mogul Sean Combs - also known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy - will have his own MTV reality show.
The surprise success of The Osbournes has given MTV its most popular series ever.
The show, which follows the bizarre home life of the heavy metal icon and his family, is reportedly a favourite of US President George Bush.
A second season is scheduled to begin this autumn.
Other celebrities who have expressed an interest in providing fly-on-the-wall material for reality TV shows include actress Cybill Shepherd and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons.
Liza Minnelli, the 56-year-old daughter of Judy Garland, has recently been back in the limelight after few years of enduring viral encephalitis, back and hip surgery, and fighting an addiction to pain-killers.
In March Minnelli married for the fourth time, to producer David Gest, in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in New York.
In April she performed for five nights at London's Royal Albert Hall before embarking on a European tour.
