It will be the fourth Bond film with the slick secret service agent played by Pierce Brosnan, and is two months into its filming schedule.
Monster's Ball actress Halle Berry will be a Bond girl, while Dame Judi Dench is to reprise her role as spy chief M.
Die Another Day is due to be released in November.
Filming
"Die Another Day carries on the tradition of the Ian Fleming stories and reflects the excitement and mystery of our latest script," said producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
It will be the 20th film to feature the special agent, and had been going under the working title of Bond 20.
Filming began at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, in January, with other locations to include Hawaii, Iceland, Spain and London.
The movie marks the 40th anniversary of the series that began in 1962 with Dr No, starring Sean Connery.
It will be directed by Lee Tamahori, whose previous credits include Along Came a Spider and The Edge.
British actor Toby Stevens will play the villainous bad guy and newcomer Rosamund Pike will be another of Brosnan's glamorous female co-stars.
John Cleese will take the role of Q following the death of Desmond Llewelyn.
It was due to be Brosnan's last Bond film in the title role, but he recently signed on to make one more after this.
'Stamina'
"I will do another one. Time has gone by so quickly. It seems like only yesterday I was sitting here for GoldenEye," he said during a press conference in January.
But he said he might be too old for a sixth appearance.
"It takes stamina to play this role. I would like to get off the stage with grace."
Bond will once again drive an Aston Martin, after a deal with the car manufacturer.
