Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman

Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman - Somethin' Stupid

The first single to be released from Williams' Swing When You're Winning album is the hot favourite to take the prestigious position. Williams asked Kidman to duet with him after he heard her singing on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

Gordon Haskell - How Wonderful You Are

Following frequent plays on BBC Radio 2, little-known singer Gordon Haskell has had his odds of reaching number one slashed. The singer says he wrote the track as he walked around a local supermarket with his 82-year-old mother.

The Tweenies

The Tweenies - I Believe In Christmas

The Tweenies have yet to have a number one hit but they are still among the favourites to take the coveted Christmas top slot. Their previous single, Do the Lolly Pop reached number 17 in July.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet - What If

British actress Kate Winslet is a surprise favourite to top the charts. Her festive offering is a romantic ballad called What If, which has been taken from the animated film, Christmas Carol - The Movie.

S Club 7

S Club 7 - Have You Ever

The odds of S Club 7 getting to number one were slashed after they performed Have You Ever on the BBC's Children In Need programme. All proceeds from the record are going to charity and bookmakers predict it will be a massive hit.

Cliff Richard

Cliff Richard - Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World

Sir Cliff has sold more than 250m records since he burst onto the music scene in 1958. For some, Christmas would not be the same without a record from the enduring star. This year he is back with a medley.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson - Cry

Michael Jackson is one of the planet's best-known stars. His first album of new material in 10 years, Invincible, topped the charts in October. R Kelly penned his second release from the album, the gospel track, Cry.
