Two shot at So Solid Crew party
So Solid Crew: Say they "abhor violence"
Two men have been shot at the birthday party of a member of the garage group So Solid Crew.
The incident occurred early on Thursday morning at London's Astoria night club, where So Solid Crew member Romeo was holding a party for his 21st birthday.
None of the So Solid Crew were hurt or in anyway directly caught up
Band statement
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that two men were injured by firearms, but said that no member of the group was involved in the shootings.
The band released a statement on Thursday morning saying: "So Solid Crew very much regret the violence that broke out at their birthday party show at the Astoria last night, but want to make it clear that they abhor violence and have made it clear on their record that they want the violence to stop.
'Trouble'
"They were not in anyway involved in last night's disturbance, and were on stage performing when the trouble broke out.
"They were ushered off by security, and none of the So Solid Crew were hurt or in anyway directly caught up in the trouble."
The Metropolitan Police said that one of the injured men was found at the scene at about 0300 GMT on Thursday morning, and taken to hospital by the police.
Police have not released details of the man's identity or injuries.
A second man was taken to hospital by friends, and is said to be suffering from minor wounds.
So Solid Crew comprises more than 20 DJs, producers and vocalists, including the duo Oxide and Neutrino,
Last month a member of the group, Darren James Weir, 22, of Pimlico, central London, was fined £1,500 by Cardiff Crown Court for inflicting grievous bodily harm on a 16-year-old girl.
Police recently dropped an investigation into Neutrino, over alleged possession of a firearm - after he was shot in the leg on a night out in London.
