He also announced that he will only continue singing for another "couple of years".
"I have done well during these 40 years and I'd like to continue at the same level for another couple of years, but then I'll turn to teaching," he said.

He will be hoping to top the 15 million people who recently logged on to try to watch the first public performance in years of Italian pop legend Mina, 61. Due to high demand, only 250,000 were able to actually see her.
Pavarotti is no stranger to big crowds - even if they have not usually been via the internet.
In 1993, he played to more than 500,000 fans in Central Park, New York, and has sung before 300,000 in Paris and 150,000 in London.
The tenor will play one show in London this summer, appearing in Hyde Park in July alongside British singers Russell Watson and Charlotte Church.
