Geena Davis to marry

Geena Davis
Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis has announced her engagement to surgeon Reza Jarrahy, her publicist said in Los Angeles on Monday.

Davis, 44, born in Massachusetts, met Jarrahy, who is 15 years her junior, two years ago through mutual friends.

No date has been set for the wedding.

Davis, currently starring in her own US television comedy The Geena Davis Show, was previously married to actor Jeff Goldblum and director Renny Harlin.

She won the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for the 1998 film The Accidental Tourist, and was nominated for her role opposite Susan Sarandon in Thelma and Louise.

A former lingerie model for the US chain Victoria's Secrets, Davis broke into the movies in the 1982 film Tootsie.

She will next be seen on the big screen in Stuart Little 2, the follow-up to this year's hit children's tale.
