Global recession: How have you been affected?

Traders in Hong Kong

How has your life changed in the last year?

In September it will be a year since the collapse of Wall Street giant Lehman Brothers - an event that highlighted the extent of the sub-prime mortgage crisis and sparked a collapse in share prices and investor confidence.

Many individual countries are now in recession and the world economy is flagging badly.

Wherever you are in the world, we want to hear how your life has changed.

Have you lost your job? Or have you had to cut back on your spending? Or maybe you have made other changes in your life. Whatever your experience is, we would like to hear from you.

Send us your stories using the form below. Please include a phone number if you are happy to be contacted by the BBC.

You can also send us a picture that sums up your good or bad fortune over the last year. Or record your views and experiences on video and send it to us.

Send your pictures or videos to yourpics@bbc.co.uk or text it to +44 7725 100 100 with the subject "Global recession".

If you have a large file you can upload here.

Or join our conversation on Seesmic and record your views using your webcam or uploading your video.
