Filipino 'Love Bug' suspect freed

Police in the Philippines say a man detained in connection with the computer virus that paralysed systems world-wide last week, has been released.

Reomel Ramones, a bank employee, was freed after prosecutors found insufficient evidence to press charges.

Mr Ramones was arrested on Monday after police raided his apartment and seized computer accessories.

His girlfriend, Irene de Guzman who's also a suspect, is still being sought for questioning.

Mr Ramones has denied any involvement in creating the virus.

Some of the world's leading internet security experts are gathering in California to develop a strategy for combatting future computer virus attacks.
