Lucy, Lily and Oliver live in Gisborne, 50 kilometres (31 miles) north of Melbourne, and have the run of the house.
They enjoy the same activities as humans, spending much of their time munching snacks in front of the television.
The neighbours have been complaining about the noise and smell and tried to get the pigs banned.
But city bosses have ruled the three pigs can stay in the house like any other pet.
Telly addict
Owner Maggie Park said the pigs had their own bedroom and were treated like part of the family.
"I would prefer to have my pigs in the house than a lot of people," she told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper on Wednesday.
"Our pigs give us a lot of love and attention.
"As far as the house goes it's just a matter of common sense. You just have to clean up after you."
She said Lily, a full-grown hairy hog, is a television addict who jumps into her owners' bed at night.
"When she gets up, one of us has to get out of bed because she's so heavy," Mrs Parks told the newspaper.
Mrs Parks and her husband Neil do not have any children. She said they would have moved house if necessary rather than get rid of their pets.
