In pictures: Philippines hostage drama
Muslim rebels in the southern Philippines city of Zamboanga have taken a group of local residents hostage, after their base was attacked by the military.
They are threatening to kill the hostages unless the army allows them safe passage, but the BBC's South East Asia correspondent in Zamboanga says this is very unlikely.
